The Municipality of Clarington is committed to improving road safety for everyone – particularly pedestrians, children, and cyclists. We’ve completed upgrades on Old Scugog Road near Enniskillen Public School and Robert McLaughlin Park, including seasonal speed cushions, a reduced 30 km/h speed limit, and a new pedestrian crossover with flashing lights.

Now, in collaboration with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, we’re exploring a new project to build a permanent sidewalk connected to the school and replace the temporary speed cushions with permanent speed humps, creating a safer, more walkable community year-round.
