The Municipality has received a complete application for a Clarington Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, and Draft Plan of Subdivision and will proceed with processing the application in accordance with the Planning Act.

Proposed development

GHD Limited Inc. c/o. Steph Matveeva has submitted applications on behalf of 1127009 Ontario Inc. c/o. Andy Anderson for an Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, and Draft Plan of Subdivision at 388 North Scugog Court in Bowmanville.

The proposal seeks to facilitate 22 street townhouse units and 96 stacked townhouse units for a total of 118 dwelling units. One entrance from North Scugog Court is proposed with a total of 177 parking spaces. Three internal private roads and amenity space will service the proposed development. Future applications for Site Plan Approval and Draft Plan of Condominium are required.

The total site area is 3.69 hectares (9.13 acres) in size.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Clarington before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
