The Municipality is seeking public comments before making a decision on an application and recommendation report for an Official Plan Amendment – and we want to hear from you!
Proposed development
Nethery Planning has submitted applications on behalf of Farsight Investments Ltd. for an Official Plan Amendment at 1700 Lambs Road in Bowmanville.
The proposal seeks to facilitate the development of a townhouse condominium block within a draft-approved Plan of Subdivision, containing a total of 182 residential townhouse units comprised of:
- 86 three-storey townhouses
- 84 back-to-back townhouses
- 12 rear lane townhouses
The total site area is 3.62 hectares (8.94 acres) in size.

If you are attending in person, you do not need to pre-register as a delegate to speak at the meeting.

In accordance with Section 22(7) of the Planning Act, an appeal may only be filed by the applicant, the registered owner, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, or a specified person or public body that has interest in the matter.
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Municipality of Clarington to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Clarington before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Clarington before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
